Ice Runners Ranking System
Lord[/color]
The male leader of the tribe. He dominates over every rank, excluding the Lordess. The Lord leads the tribe and keeps everything in order. He is always mates with the Lordess. The eldest male of the Lord and Lordess' litter will become the heir and will become the Lord once the Lord dies. If for some reason there is not an heir to take the Lord's place when he dies the Beta male will take his place. In this case the Lordess with retire and the new Lord will find a mate or, if he had a mate while being beta, she would become the Lordess.
Cannot be applied for.
Lordess
The female leader of the tribe. Aiding the Lord, she keeps things in order and leads the tribe. She is always mates with the Lord. If the Lord dies she will retire under any circumstances. If the Lordess dies the Lord will not have another Lordess.
Cannot be applied for.
Heir
The eldest male child of the Lordess and Lord. He do not have any authority until he becomes a Lord, if he ever becomes one. If he dies the second eldest male of the Lord and Lordess' litter will take his place. If there is no other male in the litter there will be no heir and the beta will take the Lord's place when the Lord dies instead of the heir. The heir dens in the nursery.
Cannot be applied for.
Beta
The second-in-command for the tribe. He takes over when the Lord and Lordess are not available. He helps keeps everything in order with the Lord and Lordess. He is often a close friend to the Lord. If a beta gets a mate within the tribe her rank does not change for there is no beta female.
Cannot be applied for.
Shaman
The main healer of the tribe, they take care of wounds and sicknesses with their supply of herbs and sometimes their ice magic. They also mentor the healers. The most experienced and oldest healer takes the Shaman's place when the Shaman retires or dies. The shaman also has a special connection with the spirits.
Cannot be applied for.
Healers
The lesser healers of the tribe they aid the Shaman in the healing duties. Usually sent off to find herbs or treat minor wounds. The most experienced and oldest healer takes the Shaman's place once it dies/retires.
The Council
Commonly older angels, this rank is for the wiser wolves. They are of high rank and will usually represent the tribe when they are out alone or there is a meeting and the Ice Runners are wanted. You must earn the trust of the Lords to get this rank. They appoint new Archangels. There usually isn't more than six wolves here.
Cannot be applied for.
Elders
This is where the older angels are placed, once they are no longer of aid to the tribe- they retire. They must be respected by all ranks. The Lordess retires to this position when her Lord dies.
Cannot be applied for. For the older members of the tribe. Every wolf comes here when it is their time.
Archangel Guard
The leader of the guards, pretty self-explanatory. They lead the guards, organize patrols, that sorta of stuff. The Archangel guard is earned and given to you by The Council.
Cannot be applied for.
Guards
Well, the name says it all. The guards guard the pack and territory, searching for any trespassers, loners, etc. It's a lonely job when you're alone out there guarding, but the Archangel guard usually assigns patrols of about two or three guards. Guards can hunt small creatures.
Archangel Scout
The leader of the scouts. She will assign patrols and usually lead certain patrols. This rank is earned and given to you by the Council. It is almost always a female, it's rare being a male because there are few male scouts.
Cannot be applied for.
Scouts
The leaner, faster members of the tribe. They must be fast runners and agile. Usually always females because they are smaller than the males, but there can be a male as a Scout on a rare occasion. They take messages to other packs or to specific wolves in battle and remark the borders. They usually hunt small creatures as well.
Archangel hunter
The leader of the hunters, they sort out the hunters into specific flanks and areas on large hunts. Usually getting the killing bite if the Lord, Lordess or Beta is not present in the hunt.
Cannot be applied for.
Hunters
They are the main hunters of the tribe, usually bringing back the larger fresh-kill such as elk. Although the Archangel hunter will sometimes assign patrols to go out and hunt smaller animals but they are relied on for bringing back the larger prey. Sometimes other ranks will assist the hunters on hunts.
Archangel Warrior
The leader of the warriors. They organize the warriors into groups, for when they are needed they will already be ready. The Archangel warrior is usually a male.

Warriors
The battle-strong angels of the pack. If danger rises that needs to be dealt with with teeth and claws the warriors are the ones to look for for help. They're usually sturdy and muscular.
Novices
They are the younger angels of the tribe that have moved on from their pup age. They are trained by which rank they are best for in their future. Once every pup has left the nursery their mother begins their duties once again.
Mothers
Well, the mothers of the pack. They have pups and their duties are taken off their shoulders to focus on their pups.
Cannot be applied for. Your she-wolf must have a mate and pups to enter this rank.
Caretakers
They take care of the pups of the pack when the mothers are busy. They usually take care of the Lordess' pups and help the mothers care for the pups. They den in the nursery with the mothers and pups.
Omegas
The lowest ranking of the tribe. They are tossed around and abused by higher rankings, usually because this rank is given as a punishment. They can be used to release an angel's on, but breaking limbs or killing the omega is strictly against the pack laws.
Can only be applied for if your angel did something bad and was given this rank as punishment.
Pups
Self-explanatory. The pups of the pack.
Cannot be applied for unless you have a mother. No father is acceptable, but there must of been a real father to mate with the mother.[/center]
